(Press Release) – Apr 12, 2010 – Northeast Philadelphia Dentist, Dr. Leonard Tau of the Pennsylvania Center For Dental Excellence , has received the prestigious Academy of General Dentistry Fellowship Award (FAGD). The award is earned by only a small number of practicing dentists each year. Currently 6% of dentists in the United States have attained this distinction.
The rigorous 6 hour Fellowship exam, which Dr. Tau recently completed, consists of material from all dental disciplines and strongly emphasizes clinical applications of accepted dental knowledge, techniques, and procedures.
Additional requirements are that the doctor has at least 500 hours of continuing education and be a member in good standing for at least 3 years in the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Tau has been a member of the AGD for 11 years.
Dr. Tau will receive his Fellowship award in New Orleans, LA at their annual meeting of the AGD in for July of 2010.
