To all our office friends and family,
As we approach the end of 2009 and the beginning of a new decade I wanted to keep everyone updated about exciting things related to your dental office. Over the past few years I have consistently strived to offer the very best in patient care and comfort to my patients here at the Pennsylvania Center for Dental Excellence. I can assure you that this will continue for years to come. I will occasionally be updating everyone to let them know about new and exciting things here at PCDE.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone and happy and healthy holiday season, with healthy being one of the themes of this newsletter. Oral cancer kills one person every hour every day and I recently acquired a state of the art technology that allows for very early detection of this disease. The Identafi 3000 uses uses three different wavelengths of light to excite oral tissue in distinct and unique ways which identifies abnormal tissue with more accuracy than a single color wavelength. This three wavelength optical illumination system allows me to catch early cancers that are not visible to the naked eye. During your visit your hygienist will discuss the advantages of this new detection method. I implore all of you to take advantage of this technology.
Another new technology that I just instituted recently is a soft tissue diode laser. The Picasso laser allows me to expand the treatment options available to you. It will assist me in a wide range of dental procedures that I normally would have to refer out to other dental specialist. For more information about this new technology ask one of my team members.
For those who may not be aware we have started using an online portal for patient confirmations and other communications via text messaging and email. We have found this to be very helpful in cutting down on cancellations and missed appointments. If you have not done so already we would appreciate if if you let us know your email address or if you change it please let us know as well. This program also allows you to request an appointment online as well as leave feedback about your experience during your visit to our office. This feedback actually gets posted to various websites and allows potential patients looking for a new dentist to read about your experiences at PCDE. If you would prefer us to still confirm your appointments via the telephone be sure to let us know.
With the advent of social media (ie Facebook and Twitter) I have created both a Facebook “fan” page and a Twitter feed that will also keep you updated as to things occurring in the office. At various times of the year we run specials on services such as bleaching as well as contests and I do not want you to miss out on these great opportunities. I plan to offer exclusive specials to people who use these methods of communication. My twitter account is drlentau and our Facebook “fan” page is Pennsylvania Center For Dental Excellence.
